Radical Wholeness: A Philip Shepherd Retreat in Bali

Sep 25-Oct 1, 2016

We all deeply yearn to overcome the fragmentation of our lives, and ease into the clarity and balance that belong to wholeness.  We cannot discover our wholeness, though, until we recognize and soften the divisions we carry in the body.

Living in the head as we do, we remain divided from the breath, the present, and the profound intelligence centered in the belly.  This week-long workshop playfully unites the intelligences of the body – those of head, heart and belly – and awakens them to the subtle intelligence of the present.

By bringing your intelligence into coherence, you attune to the deeper harmony of your life.  Along the way, you will gain tools to last a lifetime.

Move out of your head and into your life

About Philip Shepherd

Philip Shepherd is recognized as an international authority on embodiment.  He is the creator of The Embodied Present Process (TEPP), a unique method for moving into wholeness that gently discloses and heals divisions we carry within us.  TEPP is based on the vision articulated in his celebrated book, New Self, New World.

We all feel the effects of disconnection – it is taught to us by our culture – but our divisions often lie out of reach, unseen within the patterning of the body.

As TEPP facilitates the softening of those patterns, you deepen into the wisdom of the body, and into the intimacy of the world.  This is a contrast to modalities that advocate ‘listening to the body’ as you sit in the head; Philip’s approach helps us listen to the world through the body.

His personal path to understanding has been shaped by his adventures as a teenager, when he cycled alone through Europe, the Middle East, India and Japan; by his deep commitment to and studies of bodywork; by his experiences as an actor, playing lead roles on stages in London, New York, Chicago and Toronto; and by the burning desire for freedom that has illuminated his entire life.  He currently divides his time between training TEPP teachers, giving workshops, and writing his second book, Radical Wholeness.

Dragonfly Village, an enchanted retreat paradise, is set in the midst of one of the most beautiful rice field walks in the center of Ubud, Bali. Tranquility and stunning greenery all around… panorama with sacred Mt Agung and the northern ranges of mountain in a distance… open space filled with dragonflies in the day and fireflies in the night… symphony of crickets and frogs… for those who enjoy being in the nature, healing and learning. Only footsteps away from center Ubud, but tucked away from its hassles and bustles, we offer the best of both worlds.

Our structures are mostly recycled wood and traditional antique teak houses brought over from remote villages in Java. We focus our energy on living simply and consciously within an organic environment. This is our motto for well-being : “Live simply so that others may simply live..” - Gandhi.

Dragonfly represents metamorphosis and transformation. The main symbolisms are renewals, adaptability, grace and positive force. They fly abundantly here in the rice field, a symbol of the sense of self that comes with maturity. A creature of the wind, that represents change, and knows it must live life to the fullest with the short life it has. Dragonflies are courage and they are the power of life.
